Agnes Petise

Agnes Collier Petise, of Greenwich, passed away July 3, 2018, at age 82. She was born Nov. 13, 1935 in Albany, N.Y., the daughter of William Andrew and Agnes Collier.

Agnes attended Holy Trinity and the Holy Name School of Nursing in N.J. She began her nursing career at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC, and then went on to continue her career as a nurse and office manager in Greenwich for Dr. James C. Worcester, Dr. Ervin Hansen, Dr. Zoher Ghogawala and Dr. Andrea Douglas.

Agnes had many loves and interests that included spending time with her family, reading, travel, gardening, puzzles and going to the beach.

She also enjoyed playing golf and paddle tennis.

Agnes is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years Frank Petise of Greenwich, her cherished children, Kathleen Woolven (Casey) of New Fairfield and Frank W. Petise (Cortney) of Southport, and loving grandchildren, Liam and Caitlin Woolven and Frank, Andrew and Elizabeth Petise.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Agnes was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Richard, Andrew and Thomas Collier.

Family and friends gathered July 6. A funeral Mass July 7 at St. Roch’s Church followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greenwich.
