Land Trust to Discuss New Native Plant Initiative

Greenwich Land Trust, in partnership with the Greenwich Garden Club and other community organizations, will be hosting “Pollinator Potluck: Restoring Native Plants to our Landscape” on Thursday, June 7, in the historic barns at the Mueller Preserve. This educational evening will feature a talk by GLT Conservation and Outreach Director, Steve Conaway, who will discuss why invasive removal is necessary in order to restore native habitats.

Invasive removal is necessary in order to restore native habitats and Seed-to-Seed provides fundamentals of invasive eradication while striving to restore native plants to the local landscape through efforts of propagation, education, and conservation.

The evening will start off with a wine tasting and appetizers from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by the presentation at 7. Attendees are encourage to bring appetizers to share.
