ASOG’S ‘Color Wheel’ on Exhibit at Byram Shubert Library

“Pin Wheel” by photographer Julie DiBiase.

Color, long overdue this spring, is finally here outdoors and indoors as well at a new art exhibit, “Color Wheel,” sponsored by the Art Society of Old Greenwich (ASOG). The show will run from May 2 to 25, at the Byram Shubert Library gallery, 21 Mead Ave.

On exhibit will be artworks bold and bright, soft and delicate, swirls of beauty, in realism or abstraction
— wherever the creative spirit has taken ASOG member artists. Inspired by the “Color Wheel” theme, ASOG artists have created works in paint, photography, drawing (graphics), sculpture and mixed media. The judge, artist and teacher Kathie Milligan, will select a best artwork in each media category.

There will be an artists’ reception for the show on Saturday, May 5 from 3 to 4:45 p.m. in the library’s gallery, where ASOG artists will be presented with their awards. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Byram Shubert Library hours are: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Thursday 12 to 8 p.m. Closed Sunday.
