G.A.S. Offers Professional Development for Artists Seminar

The Greenwich Art Society (G.A.S.) welcomes Zachary Keeting to their ongoing, Professional Development for Artists Thursday night series on April 26.

In 2010, Christopher Joy and Zachary Keeting began visiting artists’ studios. With an unscripted, documentary/improvisational approach, they talked with a wide array of artists and recorded the results. Gorky’s Granddaughter would go on to become the largest, most substantial, video archive of contemporary artistic dialogue. More than 400 artist interviews are now online, free to watch. It is an experiment in radical generosity. It is also a document of a friendship.

Keeting will discuss this endeavor through a video presentation and his own painting practice. The event will be held Thursday, April 26 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at GAS studio, 299 Greenwich Ave., 3rd floor.

Tickets are: $25 for members, $45 for non-members. Please RSVP at artistseriesapril26th.eventbrite.com or 203-629-1533 (leave message)
