According to a press release from the Office of the First Selectman, the Town of Greenwich has been ranked among the best places to live in the state of Connecticut.

Niche.com, a website which lets users explore schools and neighborhoods based on rankings, released its findings earlier this week after analyzing data about the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics and access to amenities such as night life, outdoor activities and health and fitness.

According to Niche.com, Greenwich, along with hamlets Cos Cob, Old Greenwich and Riverside received an A+ rating as the 2018 Best Places to Live. Byram and Pemberwick received A ratings, and Glenville was ranked at A-.

“These rankings recognize the Town’s long-standing commitment to life safety, quality education and developing and preserving attractive outdoor recreational opportunities for our residents. From the backcountry to the waterfront, virtually every neighborhood in Town is ranked as a ‘Best Place to Live,’” said First Selectman Peter Tesei. “This illustrates that people do ‘Think Greenwich’ when it comes to finding the premier place to live, work and raise a family.”

The recognition by Niche comes on the heels of Greenwich being named as the safest place to raise a family by Safe Wise in 2017.

“Greenwich has become a beacon for various cultural and family events that are not only enjoyed by our residents but visitors as well, whether it is the Greenwich International Film Festival, the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance or the Greenwich Food and Wine Festival,” Tesei added.
