Greenwich Resident Debuts Charitable Pet Product Line

On the heels of National Human Trafficking Month, Greenwich resident Elizabeth Boolbol is debuting “IYAYU,” a collection of handmade dog collars, leashes, bracelets, aromatherapy soy candles, and essential oil pet products, made by survivors of sex trafficking, poverty, abuse, and addiction. 100% of profits from the sale of IYAYU products support the programs and initiatives of Global PEHT: Partnership to End Human Trafficking.

A devoted animal lover, philanthropist, and human rights activist, Boolbol was inspired to pursue the fight to end trafficking, following years of international mission work with World Vision and witnessing the horrors of human trafficking, both internationally and in the local community. In 2015, she founded Global PEHT: Partnership to End Human Trafficking – a charitable organization, based in Greenwich, that is committed to ending human trafficking, the fastest growing illegal business in the world – through awareness, restoration and by providing economic empowerment to survivors of prostitution, addiction, abuse and victims of global poverty.

To help fund these programs and initiatives and to create greater awareness of what has been called the greatest humanitarian crisis of our time, Boolbol leveraged her love for pets and pursued the creation of IYAYU – a new pet product line made by the actual survivors of trafficking and abuse. In return, the survivors who make the products are provided with the necessary economic empowerment and sustainability for a successful recovery.
