On Feb. 7, 2018, Hilda Baker passed away in her sleep at her home in New Hampshire where she had lived since 2006 with her son Michael and her two grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Jonathan. She was 96 years old.
Hilda Grace Misiti was born on June 21, 1921, in Greenwich. She regularly attended service at Saint Mary’s Church while attending Greenwich High School. After graduating, she went to work as a secretary in White Plains, N.Y., where she met George Baker, Jr. The two were married and started a family, raising two boys and keeping a fine house on Madison Avenue in Port Chester, N.Y.
Hilda was predeceased by her husband, George Baker, Jr., and her son George Baker III.
