Greenwich Reform Announces Upcoming Events

Greenwich Reform Synagogue (GRS) will be hosting an Oneg with wine & cheese on Friday, March 9 at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Shabbat service with guest speaker Jonathan Perloe, at 7 p.m.

Perloe is a Cos Cob resident and the Director of Programs & Communications for Connecticut Against Gun Violence. This non-profit is dedicated to keeping people safe from gun violence, through a common-sense approach to public education and legislative advocacy. After the Sandy Hook School tragedy, Perloe has supported a wide range of gun violence prevention activities, including the Greenwich Council Against Gun Violence, with more than 1,000 supporters.

On Saturday, March 10, GRS will be holding a Family Movie Night. Join them at 5:30 p.m. for pizza and juice for the kids, wine and cheese for the adults, Havdalah at 6 with Rabbi Jordie, followed by a movie on the big screen in the sanctuary. This animated musical retelling of the Book of Exodus, when Moses frees our people from slavery is fun for all. Kids are welcome to come in pajamas and bring sleeping bags. The fee per family is $18, and prospective members are free.
