Celebrate ‘Maple Sugar Day’ with the Land Trust

The tradition of tapping maple trees for sap has been around for hundreds of years, dating back to the indigenous people of the Northeast and was adopted by incoming European colonists.

Join the Greenwich Land Trust (GLT) on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and learn how to tap trees and make your own syrup. GLT members will have hands-on demonstrations and stations throughout the Louise Mueller Preserve, as well as samples, food trucks and more.

The Louise Mueller Preserve is located at 370 Round Hill Rd. the fee for members is: $10/individuals; $20/families, and $30 for non-member families. Advance registration is required at: gltrust.org/event/maple-sugar-day
