Mardi ‘Bra’ Drive to Help Those in Need

The 2018 Undies Project Mardi “Bra” campaign starts Monday, Jan. 29 and the organization is asking the community for their help and support.

The Undies Project is collecting new, and gently used, bras to donate to those less fortunate who are on low incomes. For them a bra is a big expense. There is always a shortage of bras of all sizes, but in particular sizes 34-38.

Bras can be dropped off at the following participating businesses from Monday, Jan. 29 until Tuesday, Feb. 13:

Aux Délices: 3 West Elm St., Greenwich and 1075 East Putnam Ave., Riverside

Inside the Armoire: 45 East Putnam Ave., Greenwich

Kaia Yogo: 1455 East Putnam Ave., Greenwich and 328 Pemberwick Rd., Greenwich

Susan Hanover Designs: 89 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich

YWCA: 259 East Putnam Ave., Greenwich

Professional Physical Therapists: 86 Harvard Ave., Stamford

Sportsplex: 49 Brown House Rd., Stamford

Vertical Addiction: 575 South Pacific St., Stamford

Some local businesses are holding their own in-house Mardi “Bra” drives: the Greenwich and Old Greenwich offices of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services and Titan Advisors in Stamford. All donations received will be distributed to local organizations that help those in need.

Susan Hanover Designer Jewelry, will be hosting a Mardi “Bra” reception on Thursday, Feb. 1 from 4 to 9 p.m. at their location at 89 Greenwich Ave. 20% of sales that night, and through to Feb. 4, will be donated to The Undies Project. Join owner Susan Hanover, and members of The Undies Project, for a festive evening and pick up a birthday gift, or an early Valentine’s gift.
