Fore! This January, the magical world of fairy tales and mini golf will converge at Greenwich Library for the 2018 Tee Off Mini Golf event. Filled with all new fun and challenging obstacles, this year’s mini golf course will be based on the theme of fairy tales.

On Friday, Jan. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m., adults 21 and over will pay $25 to “Putt and Party!” with an alcohol spiked witches brew and fabulous fairy tale themed appetizers.

Saturday, Jan. 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., players of all ages are encouraged to make their event experience even more fun by coming dressed as a favorite character. At just $5 per person, golfers will also enjoy a cup of magic potion (fruit punch) at Elton’s Café in the Library.

“We are very excited to hold our second mini golf event, this time themed around fairy tales,” said Barbara Ormerod-Glynn, Director of Greenwich Library. “Early literacy, school readiness, and a love of life-long learning, are at the heart of Greenwich Library. As the brilliant Albert Einstein said, ‘If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.’”

The 18 holes are sponsored by businesses, schools, and organizations from the Greenwich community.

“We are very grateful to our outstanding sponsors,” said Chip Haslun, President of the Greenwich Library Board of Trustees. “Our hope is that the event attracts regular Library patrons and residents who may not have visited us in a long time, reinforcing that the Library is truly the hub of the community.”

No sign-up necessary, just show up (cash, credit, checks accepted). For more information, contact the Greenwich Library Trustees office at 203-622-7957.
