Greenwich Public Schools Closed on Jan. 4

With snow expected to hit the northeast early Thursday morning and stretching into the afternoon, all Greenwich Public Schools will be closed on Jan. 4. All after-school and evening activities are canceled as well, including the Board of Education meeting.

According to Jacob Meisel’s latest forecast which can be found at swctweather.com, coastal Fairfield County will see 5-8 inches of snow with slightly less totals inland. The area could see snow as early as 4 a.m., with the worst conditions occurring between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. High winds are also expected with gusts up to 45 mph.
