The Greenwich Choral Society announces auditions for singers in Fairfield and Westchester Counties interested in becoming a member.

Auditions will be conducted on several dates early in January 2018, beginning on Saturday, Jan. 6, at the First Congregational Church, Old Greenwich. These private sessions will include some vocalizing, to demonstrate range and voice quality, plus a sight-singing exercise, and will take about 15 minutes. No prepared piece is required. Sopranos, altos, basses and, especially, tenors are invited to schedule an appointment.

Those interested in auditioning may contact Bill Fulton, Registrar, by e-mail at cbful@snet.net or by phone at 203-322-2990 to arrange a time.

The Greenwich Choral Society, a 120-voice experienced volunteer chorus, sings a broad repertoire of classical and modern music. Musical plans for 2018 include Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor in March, and in May, a Jazz Concert that will feature the best of Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concerts. The Chorus rehearses on Tuesday nights at the First Congregational Church.
