Letter: Bergstresser Supports Litvack

lettertotheeditor

To the Editor:

I’m supporting Sandy Litvack for First Selectman because he has the experience in management and government along with the judgment that qualifies him for the challenges that confront Greenwich.

We are facing challenges in evaluating our needs to prioritize our capital projects and supervising our Town departments to insure coordination between them. We also need to find ways of attracting new business to replace those that have failed or moved away as well as insure in these uncertain times in Connecticut that support continues for the youth, the elderly and our needy citizens. Sandy has the background and skills for these tasks.

Local elections are notorious for poor voter turnout but this year is not the year to sit on the sidelines. The issues will be discussed and debated at a Greenwich League of Women Voters (GLWV) Board of Selectmen Forum on Oct. 17 starting at 7 p.m. at the Round Hill Community House. The GLWV will also create a Voter’s Guide which will be distributed by the League to voters. Please take advantage of these nonpartisan sources to inform yourselves and vote.

Being First Selectman in Greenwich is not an easy task and that is why we need a strong independent leader like Sandy Litvack. Sandy has the foresight and experience to make sound economic decisions. His relationships with those in the public and private sector will be an asset to move Greenwich forward and will create a better future for all our residents.

Vote for Sandy Litvack, Row A, on Nov. 7.

Richard Bergstresser
Former First Selectman
