On Oct. 26, nearly 1,000 supporters will gather at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich to celebrate the Breast Cancer Alliance’s (BCA) much-anticipated 22nd annual benefit luncheon and fashion show.

The benefit recognizes those whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer and applauds BCA’s commitment to improving survival rates and quality of life through better prevention, early detection, exceptional treatment, and innovative research.

For event Co-Chairs, Gretchen Bylow, Hillary Corbin and Jordan Rhodes, BCA’s annual benefit is an act of love and a fierce conviction that a cure will be found because of the work of organizations like the Breast Cancer Alliance.

“While survival rates are at an all-time high, 30 percent of those diagnosed with breast cancer still face metastatic disease,” says BCA President Mary Jeffery. “BCA will not rest until that number is zero.”

Featured guest speaker Amy Robach, News Anchor for ABC’s Good Morning America, will address attendees during the luncheon, scheduled to begin at noon. Since joining ABC News, Robach has traveled nationally and internationally to cover major news events including the 2017 Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C., the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, terrorist bombings in Belgium, and the mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. She had her own unexpected journey with breast cancer after being diagnosed following an on-air mammogram on GMA, resulting in her 2015 New York Times bestselling memoir Better: How I Let Go of Control, Held on To Hope, and Found Joy in My Darkest Hour.

The event gets underway at 11 a.m. with a reception and more than 75 silent auction items, including stunning jewelry, fabulous vacations, celebrity engagements, and private tours. Highlights include a getaway to the Ocean House, a Triple Five-Star resort in Watch Hill, RI; a tour for 26 of the Brant Foundation Art and Study Center in Greenwich, and two tickets to the opening night of the Greenwich Film Festival in 2018. At 1:15 p.m., the fashion show featuring the Oscar de la Renta collection will begin, following the heart-warming and emotional annual Inspiring Women Fashion Show featuring elegant breast cancer survivors showcasing selected fall fashions from Richards.

“We will continue to fund fellowships for brilliant surgeons who seek to both understand the challenges and nuances of breast cancer, as well as hone their skills to provide the best treatment for each individual patient, said Executive Director Yonni Wattenmaker.

BCA will also continue to support the breast health needs of underserved women.

Breast Cancer Alliance (BCA), a regional organization with national impact, was founded in 1996. It is one of the largest private, non-corporate breast cancer organizations in the United States and has awarded more than $22 million in grants to fund cutting-edge research.
