YWCA Greenwich is upping its game this fall with new coaches for its basketball and tennis programs, the introduction of Broadway Song & Dance Theatre with Michelle Marceau, the founder of the Greenwich Performing Arts Studio, and two new dance programs – Creative Movement and Beginning Jazz – which will be taught by Emily Isidori, a professionally trained dance instructor.

To give people a taste of what parents can find at YWCA Greenwich, the organization will hold its annual “Fabulous Family Fair,” on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 12 to 3 p.m. at 259 E. Putnam Ave. Everyone in Greenwich is invited and admission is free.

“We want families to experience all that YWCA Greenwich has to offer. Children can sample multiple youth and children’s programs” said YWCA President and CEO, Mary Lee Kiernan. “Varied activities as well as food and refreshments should make it a fun afternoon for all,” she continued.

Children will get to play softball and baseball with Greenwich’s only Pitching Machine and Batting Cage system; sample classes in Dance, Gymnastics, and Tennis; and of course, there will be a Bouncy Castle for the little ones. Weather permitting, children can splash around in Greenwich’s only Water Playground. There will also be face painting, games, music, and arts and crafts both indoors and outside.

Chef Darlene B will be at the Skylight Café. Chicken Joe’s food truck and Phil and Tom’s Classic Good Humor ice cream truck will also be on the property. Also, for anyone who might need something special for back to school, Jolie’s Gotique will be on hand for those who would like to do a little shopping.
