Community Centers, Inc. of Greenwich (“CCI”) will hold a “Flowers, Fashion & Footwear” Fall Luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Belle Haven Club. Themed around the designer shoe collection of “The Garden Guru,” Kent Russell, the event will feature floral arrangements created by local garden clubs, florists and artists “inspired” by a pair of Russell’s shoes. Each display will be available for purchase. Also for sale will be floral-themed art, note cards, and photography, handbags, jewelry from the CCI UpCycled Button Project, and other fashion accessories.Pots and arrangements created by Russell will also be for sale.
All proceeds from “Flowers, Fashion & Footwear” will benefit CCI’s education and support programs, which serve more than 1000 Greenwich residents including at-risk youth, families, senior citizens, and individuals with special needs. CCI provides: Educational Programs, Homework Clubs, Summer Education and Recreation Programs for Children and Families, Senior Programs, Counseling and Therapy, Special Needs Adult and Youth Groups.
