Sinja Lee, 87, of Greenwich, went to be with the Lord peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 26.

Born in Korea, Sinja came to the United States in her 20’s after the Korean War, via a scholarship to MacMurray College in Illinois. Sinja owned and ran a Chinese restaurant in the Philadelphia area. Later she became a beautician and owned her own salon. She lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida and finally Connecticut, where she spent her final months surrounded by the joyous chaos of four of her five great-grandchildren.

She was the widow Van Lee, her husband of 50 years. She is survived by her only child, Sugin Song; her grandchildren, Kimberly Fiorello and Clifford Song, and their spouses, Jon and Janette; and great-grandchildren Lee, Maud, Dagny, Faith Fiorello and Noa Song. Sinja was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

The family received friends on Saturday, July 29, at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son, 31 Arch Street; a graveside funeral service followed at Putnam Cemetery, 35 Parsonage Road, Greenwich
