Chabad of Greenwich will hold its annual parenting conference on Thursday, July 27 at Carmel Academy, 270 Lake Ave.

“We’re excited for yet another conference with seminars tailored to preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school parents,” says Chabad Rabbi Yossi Deren. “The event, once again put together by a committee of parents, will speak on topics such as how to teach our children kindness, respect, and gratitude, and how to create a peaceful home environment. We cordially invite parents, grandparents, and the greater Jewish community to join us for this thoughtful, educational and spirit-lifting event.”

This year’s keynote speaker, Slovie Jungreis-Wolff, author of Raising a Child With a Soul, will share her research and expertise on how time-tested Jewish wisdom can help parents nurture their children’s souls even in today’s fast-paced, and often materialistic, culture. Wolff will speak at 6 p.m., during the Sponsor’s Dinner & Cocktails, on how to create a peaceful home environment, and again at 8:15, during the Dessert & Keynote Lecture, on how to raise children with an attitude of gratitude, to communicate better as families, and to teach children kindness and managing priorities. The rest of the schedule includes a 6:45 Sushi Dinner for all attendees, and break-out seminars at 7:30, arranged by child age, on topics such as what makes discipline work, and raising a child who has respect.
