Fiction Addiction Group to Discuss ‘Carry the One’

greenwich-library-fi

Greenwich Library sponsors four adult book groups, including Fiction Addiction, a group focused on contemporary fiction, which was launched last spring by Library staffers Joanne Gaither and Robin Terzi. The group meets every other month.

The next meeting of Fiction Addiction will be on Monday, July 10 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Meeting Room where they will discuss Carry the One by Carol Anshaw.

Following a devastating moment in the hours after a wedding, three siblings and their friends move through the next twenty-five years under its long shadow. Carry the One shows how one life affects another, and how those who thrive and those who self-destruct are closer to each other than we’d expect. Anshaw’s characters are sympathetic, funny, and uncannily familiar as they reflect back to us our deepest pain and longings, and our transcendent moments of understanding.

The libraries have 16 physical copies of Carry the One plus eBook and audiobook versions on Overdrive. Check the catalog for location and availability.
