Town to Hold Men’s, Women’s Golf Championships

The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that the Griffith E. Harris Golf Course will be hosting the Men’s 73rd Annual Town Golf Championship on Saturday and Sunday June 24 and 25 and the Women’s Town Golf Championship on June 26.

Men: The format is 36 holes, medal play, gross and net. There are two Town-Wide Flights based on handicaps: Championship (0-9) and A Flight (10-36). There are also two Senior (age 50-64) Flights based on handicaps: Senior (0-17) and A Flight (18-36) and a Super Senior Flight (age 65+). Tee off times are scheduled starting at 7:30 a.m. on both days. An award presentation will take place at the course following completion of play. The cost to enter is $79 for Seniors & Super Seniors and $95 for Town-Wide which includes a Sunday BBQ. Entries close on Sunday, June 18.

Women: The format is 18 holes, medal play, gross and net. There are three Flights: Town-Wide, Senior (50+), and Super Senior (65+). Town Champion in each flight is the player with the lowest gross score. The overall Town Champion can come from any flight. The cost to enter is $49 for Seniors and Super Seniors and $57 for Town-Wide. Entries close on Tuesday, June 20.
