Friends of Greenwich Point Host Live-Animal Presentation

Join the Friends of Greenwich Point and the Stamford Museum & Nature Center as they delve into the world of the invertebrates – the animals without backbones!, on Sunday, June 18 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Although it’s tempting to call anything that creeps and crawls a “bug”, we’ll meet plenty of invertebrates besides insects. Invertebrates that hiss, burrow, climb, sting, and more will all make an appearance, along with some furred predators that may see them as a tasty snack.

Live animal presentations at 1, 1:30 and 2 p.m., and a fun activity will be featured in this free, family-friendly program at the Innis Arden Cottage. Daring participants will have an opportunity to handle some of the animals. The extra daring may even opt to sample some edible insects.

For more information, please email the Friends of Greenwich Point Education Committee at info@friendsofgreenwichpoint.org
