NAMI Offers Lecture on Improving Mental Health

Dr. Lloyd Sederer, leading mental health expert, will give a free talk based on his recent book, Improving Mental Health: Four Secrets in Plain Sight, which offers four foundational truths gleaned from his long and illustrious career. The presentation, sponsored by NAMI Southwest CT, will take place on Thursday, May 11 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Greenwich Town Hall, 101 Field Point Rd.

Sederer will share essential insights with those in the field of mental health, social work, or medicine – as well as with those challenged with mental health issues and their loved ones who wish to make an immediate difference in their lives.

At the event audience members will learn how to apply the four “secrets”: Behavior serves a purpose; The power of attachment; As a rule, less is more; Chronic stress is the enemy.
