JCC Greenwich welcomes back New York Times bestselling author Annabelle Gurwitch for a book talk on Tuesday, May 9 at 10 a.m. She’ll discuss Wherever You Go, There They Are, a new collection of essays about her own family of scam artists and hucksters, as well as the sisterhoods, temporary tribes, communities, and cults who have become surrogates along the way.

Annabelle Gurwitch is an actress and the author, and gained a loyal following during her stint cohosting Dinner and a Movie on TBS and years as a regular commentator on NPR. She’s written for The New Yorker, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and The Hollywood Reporter. She regularly performs at arts centers around the country. Gurwitch is a Jewish mother, a reluctant atheist, and an ardent environmentalist.

The event takes place at Back 40 Kitchen, 107 Greenwich Ave. Tickets are $15 in advance at jccgreenwich.org or 203-552-1818, and $20 at the door.
