The Annual Greenwich Kite Flying Festival will be held Saturday, April 22 at 1 p.m. (rain date, Sunday, April 23, at 2 p.m.), at Greenwich Point Park. The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation and its new co-hosting partner, India Cultural Center of Greenwich, are looking forward to an afternoon of kite flying at the beach.

The Kite Flying Festival is a fun event to celebrate the start of the spring season. Enjoy live music performed by Ray and Jay, lunch at the beach, and kite flying. Participants need only bring a kite to fly. All kite fliers will be recognized with a participation ribbon. The India Cultural Center of Greenwich will also be providing a demonstration and instruction on the most popular Indian kite, the patang, which is an Indian fighter kite. ICC will have several patangs for children to fly and take home.
