YMCA of Greenwich Hires New Director of Programs

The YMCA of Greenwich welcomes Heather Brown Lowthert as its new Director of Programs. Lowthert will oversee all sports, camps, wellness, and aquatics programs for the YMCA as they continue to celebrate 100 years in Greenwich.

“I am very excited to join this historic organization,” said Lowthert. “YMCA programs service a real need for numerous youth, families and seniors in our town. I look forward to being part of a team that makes an impact in Greenwich every day.”

Lowthert has more than 20 years of experience working with children and families. For the past five years, Heather served as Program Director for the Greenwich Boy Scout Council.  Prior to that, she was the Director of a pre-school in Westchester County. A Greenwich native and GHS alumni, Heather graduated UCONN Storrs with a degree in Parks and Recreation Management.

“Heather is a perfect win for the Greenwich Y,” said President and CEO Bob DeAngelo. “We’re continually expanding our offerings to better serve Greenwich’s needs. Her expertise and energy will help us develop dynamic programs that strengthening the foundation of our community.”
