On Sunday, Jan. 29 at 4 p.m., the Friends Cole Concert Series presents the latest Marlboro touring group in the Cole Auditorium at Greenwich Library. The second program of the 2016-17 East Coast tour is built around Vaughan Williams’s song cycle On Wenlock Edge for voice, string quartet, and piano, this program also includes a selection of Beethoven’s Irische Lieder, WoO 152 for voice and piano trio as well as string quartets by Haydn and Beethoven: the Quartet in D Major, Op. 76, No. 5 and the Quartet in C Major, Op. 59, No. 3, respectively.

Artists include Nicholas Phan, tenor, Michelle Ross on violin, Carmit Zori on violin, Rebecca Albers on viola, Alice Yoo on cello and Lydia Brown on piano.

Now in its 52nd season, Musicians from Marlboro, the touring extension of the Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont offers talented young professional musicians the opportunity to perform together with seasoned artists in varied chamber music programs. Each program is built around an exceptional work performed in a previous summer.
