Continuing with their ongoing effort to “do good while doing business,” SPLURGE Unique Gifts, Home Décor and Jewelry recently donated 184 beautiful pashmina scarves to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Smilow Cancer Hospital’s Greenwich Hospital Campus. In honor of October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness month, with every customer’s purchase of $150 or more, SPLURGE donated a pashmina scarf. At the end of the month, SPLURGE matched the total quantity, doubling the gift to Greenwich Hospital.
Store owner Sonia Sotire Malloy commented, “We are thrilled with the response we received. This year’s gift was nearly double last years, and was our largest donation to Greenwich Hospital in the 6 years we have offered the pashmina program. Our customers were enthusiastic about this opportunity and hand-wrote heartfelt and inspirational notes for each recipient. Next year we will continue this tradition and our goal will be to donate over 200 pashmina scarves.”

During the holiday season, customers can give back to local and national charitable organizations and schools at one of seven upcoming SPLURGE for a Cause shopping events.
