Multitalented Broadway and television actress and writer Prudence Wright Holmes will perform her interactive one-woman murder mystery, Agatha Christie is Missing on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room.

In 1926, famed mystery writer Agatha Christie staged her own disappearance after she learned her husband wanted a divorce. Missing for 11 days, she sparked a nationwide search. Holmes interprets this event in her play.

Taking on the role of ace detective Miss Clarissa Marbles, Holmes interrogates the audience and enlists their help as she tries to get to the bottom of the real-life disappearance of Agatha Christie.

Gunshots ring out, screams are heard in the night and a rollicking good time will be had by all at this fun-filled show at Greenwich Library.

In addition to having written and performed three other solo shows, Holmes is an acting tour de force, appearing in featured roles in the films Sister Act I and II, Kingpin, and In Dreams, and in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire. On Broadway she appeared in Happy End with Meryl Streep, Lettice and Lovage with Maggie Smith, and in Inherit the Wind with George C. Scott. Off-Broadway she was in the original cast of Godspell which she helped to create, and most recently in the Tony Award-winning musicalThe Light in the Piazza.

No tickets are necessary; however, seating in the Meeting Room is limited and will be on a first come, first served basis. For more information contact Alice Bonvenuto at abonvenuto@greenwichlibrary.org, or call 203-622-7919, or visit greenwichlibrary.org.
