Through laughs, goodwill and a little humiliation Peter Tesei, Greenwich First Selectman, will be roasted by his friends and colleagues at the American Cancer Society’s annual “Local Philanthropist Roast” benefiting the American Cancer Society and their cancer research program, on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. Special guests include Roast Master Scott Mitchell of Richard’s of Greenwich and roasters, Susie Baker, Gary Dell’Abate, Joseph Siciliano, and Steve Walko.

The event takes place at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich, 1800 East Putnam Ave. There will be a cocktail reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and roast at 7.

Volunteer chairpersons are Steve Folb of Catherine Cleare Interiors (Westport) and FJ Mercede of Frank Mercede & Sons (Stamford). Executive committee members include Megan Couch of Weston, Greg Durkin of Stamford Office Furniture, Barbara Heins from the Greenwich First Selectman’s Office, and Joseph Siciliano of the Town of Greenwich.
