Round Hill Community Church will offer a special “Blessing of the Animals” service at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25 at the Round Hill Community House, next to the church. The blessing is open to all creatures great and small. The service is designed to give thanks for the role pets and beloved animals have had in the lives of people. Everyone is invited to come with or without a pet. Some people bring a picture or stuffed animal in memory of pets who have died.
There will be a Coffee Hour following the service, and treats will be available for two and four-legged attendees. During Coffee Hour attendees are also invited to visit with organizations that care about animals, including Adopt-A-Dog, Cat Assistance, Fido Fixers, Pet Pantry, Pet Partners, Wildlife SOS and others. All are welcome.
