Letter: ‘The Highest Integrity’

lettertotheeditor

To the Editor:

Greenwich has the great good fortune that Livvy Floren has agreed to continue to represent it in the Connecticut State Assembly for another term. Even though the Democratic Party has had the wisdom not to nominate a candidate to oppose her, her constituents should be aware of how well Livvy has earned their support.

Livvy, as a person of the highest integrity, has the respect of her fellows in the Assembly, both Republican and Democrat, and has demonstrated her ability to work for the benefit of our state with members of both parties. She has taken the lead on issues of the environment and as a responsible voice on issues relating to the issuance of Connecticut bond financing. She played an important role in obtaining state support for the enhancement of Nathaniel Witherell, our town assisted living and rehabilitation facility

Within Greenwich, Livvy also has been a leader of The Greenwich Tree Conservancy and an important supporter of The Greenwich Historical Society, the restoration of  the Greenwich Point cottage, the new Performing Arts Center of Greenwich High School and The Merritt Parkway Conservancy.

Livvy deserves our vote in November.
