Marghrita Ceci Caruso, a resident of Cos Cob for 40 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 3.
She was born in Rose, Italy on May 5, 1918 to Gioacchino and Carmela Ceci. Marghrita was predeceased by her husband, Frank Caruso of Greenwich, several brothers and sisters in Italy, her sister Angelina Ceci of Cos Cob, and most recently, her nephew-caregiver Etalo R. Ceci, and nephews John J. Ceci and Dominic J. Ceci.
She is survived by siblings in Italy, Felicita Ceci Smeriglio, Dora Ceci, and Guido Ceci; nieces Rose Fiorito of Cos Cob, Aurora Cantella of Greenwich, Enis Kulik of Georgia, and Margaret (Anthony) Colabella of Stamford; and nephew-caregiver Jack Ceci of Cos Cob.
Family and friends gathered on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Greenwich for a service; interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
