Adopt-A-Dog’s “Puttin’ On the Dog” returns to Roger Sherman Baldwin Park on Sunday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This will be their 29th annual dog and fun festival! This annual festival doubles as a fundraiser for Adopt-A-Dog and an adoption event for multiple shelters in the surrounding area.

Adopt-A-Dog’s mission is to save, socialize and secure loving homes for unwanted or abandoned dogs and cats. All donations go towards continuing to maintain a high quality of life for all the animals staying at Adopt-A-Dog.

Puttin’ On the Dog is an event for all ages. With music, vendors, demonstrations, competitions and activities for dogs and pet lovers, there is truly something for everyone.

This year, Pet Pantry Warehouse is once again the presenting sponsor for POD. “We’ve been involved (with POD) for a long time and I believe we took over as the major sponsor about five years ago,” Executive Vice President, Adam Jacobson says. “We always aspire to be better corporate citizens in our communities (and this) allows us to do that.”

Tickets for the event can be purchased online at adoptadog.org, or at the event the same day. Tickets are $15 for adults (kids under 12 with adults are free), $5 for seniors and kids 13-18 and $25 for the family package (two adults, up to four children).
