The Connecticut State Golf Association’s 82nd Connecticut Open is taking place at the Woodway Country Club in Darien and several golfers from Greenwich are representing the top of the leaderboard after the first day.

At the top of the leaderboard is Anthony Casalino from the Innis Arden Golf Club, as he posted a first round score of 5-under par 66. Not to be outdone was Danny Balin from Burning Tree Country Club, as he is one of 11 golfers tied an even par.

Sitting at a 2-under par 69 is Round Hill Club’s Jay Crowley, however his first day isn’t done yet. Due to inclement weather, Crowley has his day stopped at the 12th hole.

Crowley, and all the other golfers that had their first day shortened due to the weather, will be back in action at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
