Recent Greenwich High School graduate Owen Tedford (Class of 2016) has been named a recipient of The Concord Review’s 2016 Ralph Waldo Emerson Prize. The Concord Review is “the only quarterly journal in the world to publish the academic research papers of secondary students,” according to the Review’s website. “The Emerson Prize is awarded annually to students published in The Concord Review during the previous academic year who have shown outstanding promise in history at the high school level.”

Owen Tedford was the second GHS student to be published in The Concord Review, a scholarly historical periodical that draws entries from high school students from around the world. Owen’s paper, “The Failure of the Confederate En Echelon Attack at Gettysburg” appeared in the Spring 2016 Concord Review. Owen will attend Princeton this year, where he plans to major in history.
