The Greenwich Sentinel will host a LEGO competition and sale for its new foundation, The Greenwich Sentinel Foundation, on July 14 to July 17 during the Greenwich Sidewalk Sales. The Foundation will support the paper’s “Doing Greater Good” section, which will feature local charities and encourage the town’s residents to donate their time to great organizations.

The LEGO fund-raiser will be hosted in the Sentinel’s front office, right off of Greenwich Avenue. Kids can pay $10 to enter the competition and may win awards like Tallest Structure, Most Colorful, Most Creative, and more. Kids will be provided as many LEGO pieces as they wish to use, but they must no build wider than their designated workspace. The winners will have their picture in the paper and receive a certificate.

Children can also purchase and fill a container of LEGOs to take home. A variety of older, limited-edition mini-figures will be sold for $2 each, alongside baseplates which will be sold for $5 each. Ready-made creations, like cars, will be sold for various prices.
