William Raveis Real Estate continues to gain support for its upcoming second annual Ride + Walk, which will be held in Massachusetts on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 8 a.m. at Derby Academy in Hingham, and in Connecticut on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 8 a.m. at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk. The fundraising event offers a 25-mile ride, 12-mile ride, and a 5-mile walk at both venues. A 100-yard dash is available for children, as well. Additionally, participants will be able to enjoy festivities such as face painting, food, music, and a raffle.
The Raveis Rides Greenwich Team is hosting a series of community events prior to the Ride + Walk to gain participants, sponsors, and to jumpstart fundraising efforts. A shopping night will be held on July 6 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Claudette’s, a women’s clothing store, located at 177 Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich. Shoppers will receive a 5% discount, and 20% of all sales will be donated to the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation.
All proceeds from the William Raveis Ride + Walk events will go to the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, which actively seeks emerging scientists with the potential to revolutionize the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of every type of cancer.
