Supporters gathered at Shreve, Crump and Low last Tuesday for a cocktail reception hosted by Serendipity Magazine in celebration of “Under the Stars,” a benefit for the Pediatric Department and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Greenwich Hospital. Committee Co-chairs Janet Delos and Jenni Salinas were on hand to share their excitement about the upcoming fund-raiser, which takes place on Saturday, June 25 at Riverside Yacht Club from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m.

The planning committee selected “Havana Nights” as the theme for this year’s fund-raiser, and there will be touches of Latin flair throughout the evening – in the drinks, menu, décor and music. Attendees will enjoy cocktails, dinner and dancing against the scenic backdrop of the Long Island Sound.

“Serendipity is honored to once again host the patron party for Greenwich Hospital’s Under the Stars event. Having witnessed firsthand the amazing work that the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Department provides to families in our community, I’ve been extremely proud to support their efforts over the years. The level of care they provide to the littlest of patients is truly life-changing,” said Suni Unger, Founder and CEO of Serendipity Magazine.

Event honorees Maureen Bonanno and Dana Rogers, who will be recognized for their volunteer efforts in establishing this popular summer benefit, were also in attendance. Their leadership has helped raise significant funds over the years for the hospital’s Pediatric Department and NICU. Maureen and Dana first met following the premature births of their children, and their personal experiences with the NICU sparked their initial desires to fundraise for the hospital.

“I offer my most sincere thanks to our donors who have been so generous over the years to help strengthen pediatric services. If you have a high risk pregnancy or should your baby require extra care, we are here for you, equipped with the most sophisticated and up-to-date technology,” said Norman G. Roth, president of Greenwich Hospital.
