Greenwich Scouting is celebrating the newest Eagles Scouts and The Hon. Fred Camillo at the 40th Annual Eagle Recognition Dinner and “Gathering of Eagles” on Tuesday, June 14 at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich. In addition to recognizing the 2016 Class of Eagle Scouts, the event will also honor The Hon. Fred Camillo with the eighth Malcolm Pray “Friend of Eagles” Award. Local Eagle Scouts of all ages are invited to attend the “Gathering of Eagles” and reunite to celebrate the accomplishments of the newest Greenwich Eagle Scouts.

The 23 newest Greenwich Eagle Scouts are part of nearly 800 Eagle Scouts who have earned this notable rank through Greenwich Scouting over the last 100 years. To date, there are over two-million Eagle Scouts nationwide who make up current and future leaders.

Congratulations to the 2016 Greenwich Eagle Scout Class: Elias Boyer, James Cavataro, George Crist, Seaton Crossman, Dylan DeChiara, Anthony DeGrado, Cristian Fitzgerald, Daniel Gazaille, William Graham, Bennett Hawley, Erik Hoffer, Daniel LeBreton, Robert Lombardi, Matthew Matejak, William McKay, Alexander Nanai, III, Eric Park, Graham Plewniak, Matthew Rogers, Colby Sherwyn, Dwight Stocker, Edward Vitelli and Trevor Webb.

As a State Rep., Fred Camillo represents the 151st district of Greenwich. Fred’s experience as a small business owner, high school teacher, baseball coach and mortgage banker has provided him with the knowledge of where government works for people and where it fails them. His continued active involvement in the community provides him with the insight and experience necessary to legislate in the best interest of the 151st District. When Fred is not in Hartford, he can be seen in town at the many organizations he is a member of, Greenwich Baseball

Foundation, Junior Babe Ruth League, Old Timers Athletic Association, Cos Cob Association and the Greenwich Council, BSA.

Fred has served as Honorary Chair of the “Scouting for Food” drive for the past several years. He has led this drive in collecting over six tons of food. His involvement in these community organizations has given Fred an understanding of the many needs of Greenwich as well as real experience in bringing diverse groups together to benefit the whole town.

If you would like to purchase tickets for this event or are an Eagle Scout interested in re-uniting with local Eagles, please visit GreenwichScouting.org or contact Emilia Schiro at 203-869-8424, ext. 109.
