Old Greenwich-based, The Nanny Trainers, Help in Hands LLC attended the 2016 American Small Business Championship in Washington D.C. where they earned the title of 2016 American Small Business Champion and received a $1000 gift card from Sam’s Club.
Emily Barrett realized many families in Connecticut and New York rely on external help for childcare. In most situations, the nanny or au pair spends many hours with the children, Emily noticed these child minders lacked resources, so she developed a way to be the source of information and launched “The Nanny Trainers.”
The Nanny Trainers provide information on many subjects and work out a training plan specific to each family and their needs, so the family can get the best experience out of their nanny or au pair.
“I have been looking into laser printers, so I can upgrade the quality of our training materials,” said Emily Barrett. “The $1,000 from Sam’s Club certainly comes in handy!”
