In that game, Borden Wahl and Charlotte Hallisey each were lights out, finishing with, five goals and two steals each. The duo of Avery Pierce and Megan Apostolides each took home a hat trick and one steal apiece.

With a short break in between games, Greenwich Academy faced Williston Northampton’s water polo team. Right off the bat GA started the game strong, putting together a 9-3 lead at the end of the first half.

Although Williston battled back, it wasn’t enough, as Greenwich Academy came away with the 15-11 victory. Wahl one again stood out, scoring six goals, while Hallisey wasn’t far behind with five goals.  Avery Pierce took home the hat trick, while Apostolides pitched in with one goal.

Harris was once again stellar in goalie, posting 10 saves

“This was our first weekend as a team playing away games and we faced two powerful and aggressive teams, but even if the teams we played against were many times aggressive to the limit of the rules, our girls stepped up and responded very well to the pace of the game,” GA head coach Ulmis Iordache said. “We played an outstanding defense. We also managed to be very efficient in front of the cage and we finished our opportunities.”
