Obituary: Ann B. Shepard

Ann B. Shepard, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, passed away on Friday, March 18. She was 95 years old.

Ann worked as a postal clerk at the U.S. Post Office on Greenwich Ave. She was fiercely independent, and was an active member of the Greenwich Senior Center and a devoted parishioner of St. Catherine’s of Sienna. She was also an avid gardener and loved to share the vegetables she grew with everyone.

Ann traveled with her husband and later with the Glenville Seniors. She was extremely generous with her time and always offered the right advice. Ann is survived by dear sister Teresa Brudniak, her loving niece, Margaret Cullen (Stephen Jr), and her cherished great-niece and nephew, Elizabeth and Joseph.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph; her brothers Tony, Max, Edward and James; and her sister, Mary.

Family and friends gathered to honor her life on Monday, March 21 at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home in Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday at St. Catherine of Siena in Riverside. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
