YardHub co-founders Bill Ralph and James Albis hit the ground running this winter, with snow-plowing service available via their new app and website.

With just a few taps on your smartphone, it has become easy to order food or schedule a car ride; soon it will be just as easy to schedule and pay for outdoor home services, and just in time for spring cleaning.

James Albis, CEO and co-founder of YardHub Inc., hopes to connect homeowners and various service providers with his new app, which is designed to bring the process of finding and paying for outdoor services to the 21st century.

We want to establish YardHub as a one-stop shop for all things around the home, said Albis.

After their first winter of connecting snowplow services to homeowners in Westchester County, Albis hopes to take his companys service to the Greenwich this spring for jobs like driveway sealing, pool cleaning, recurring landscaping work, power washing, chimney cleaning, and more.

He calls Greenwich an ideal market for his new app, since it shares similarities to areas in Westchester County, where his company started.

Greenwich shares a lot of the demographics as well as the customer psychographics about what means a lot for homeowners, in terms of time, convenience and transparency, said Albis. We believe wed do quite well over here.

The Uber-type business model, connecting customers with professional service providers via smartphone or website, is the core of YardHub. Users can register and get a quote on everything spring cleaningrelated in as little as 24 hours, and can also schedule routine cleaning after every storm.

During the winter, YardHub uses an algorithm that guesstimates within a 90 percent degree of confidence the cost of plowing a users driveway. Variables like the length of the driveway, whether it is paved, and whether salt is needed will determine a custom price that is up to the customer to accept.

Factors like trees, slopes and the average cost of service in your area will all be used when coming up with a price of a spring cleaning service, but the hassle of finding and now paying certified and pre-approved contractors is gone with Albis new app.

Not only does this make it easier for the customers to transparently find and pay for a home service, but it also relieves some pain points that some service providers suffer from when it comes to payments.

The benefit for the service provider is the fact that they are paid within 48 hours instead of 48 days, said Albis. These guys are challenged with a number of things by just running their business in a very manual way. We can help automate that process.

Both users and service providers can sign up and learn more about YardHub at YardHub.com
