On March 12 and 13 the Greenwich Symphony will present violinist Bella Hristova, a young musician enjoying growing international recognition as a soloist and recording artist. She will perform the Delius Violin Concerto and the brilliant show piece “Havanaise” of Saint-Saëns. Ms. Hristova was named Laureate of the 2006 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis and earned a prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2013. The Washington Post has called her a “player of impressive power and control.”   The program includes Prokofiev’s “Classical Symphony” and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 5, also known as the “Reformation Symphony.”

The concerts will take place on Saturday, March 12 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 13 at 4 p.m. at the Greenwich High School Performing Arts Center, 10 Hillside Road. A free pre-concert lecture will be given one hour before each performance. Tickets are $35 for adults, $10 for students. For information call 203-869-2664 or visit greenwichsym.org.
