Choosing-Hope-bookRound Hill Community Church invites the public to a presentation on Choosing Hope: The Power of Choice by Kaitlin Roig-DeBellis on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. followed by Q & A, a book signing and a wine and cheese reception.

Kaitlin Roig-DeBellis, author of Choosing Hope: Moving Forward from Life’s Darkest Hours, writes “Bad things happen to all of us, things that test us and impact us and change us, but it is not those moments that define us. It is how we choose to react to them that does.” Roig-DeBellis, former first-grade teacher in Newtown who sheltered her students through that fateful day, is the Founder of Classes 4 Classes, a nonprofit designed to teach children the power of kindness and compassion through their ability to create positive change for others. Now her classroom is wherever life takes her and wherever she can inspire and motivate others to choose hope.

Tickets are $5. Round Hill Community Church is located at 395 Round Hill Road. Childcare is available with advance reservation. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Classes 4 Classes. Roig-DeBellis will also sign copies of her book, which will be available for purchase at the event thanks to Diane’s Books. For reservations and information, visit roundhillcommunitychurch.org or call 203-869-1091.
