Randy Williams, a great chronicler of life, memories and dreams, will exhibit his works on paper at Les Beaux Arts Gallery in honor of Black History month. The exhibit will open on Sunday, Feb. 7 and run through March 17. Mr. Williams will discuss his work at a gallery talk on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 11:30 a.m.

Williams is a versatile artist; his wood installations are very complex and his works on paper are fairly abstract with rhythmical strokes of color. He draws his inspiration from his personal experiences in life and memories of his difficult childhood.

“The works on paper in this exhibition are a part of an evolving body of work. This work is a part of an ongoing dialogue that I initiated in 1978,” Williams said. “The content of this work is free of social and political associations.”

A professor of Studio and Art Education at Manhattanville College, Williams is an educator developing new methods of presenting visual arts in colleges, universities, schools and museums. He is also an educational consultant to the Metropolitan Museum of Arts, the Jewish Museum and the Neuburger Museum.

Les Beaux Arts Gallery is located at the Round Hill Community Church, 395 Round Hill Road. The gallery is open Sunday, 11 a.m. to noon; Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and closed Saturday. The Gallery will also be closed Monday, Feb. 15. Admission to the gallery and the gallery talk are free. For information, call 203-869-1091 or visit roundhillcommunitychurch.org
