Round Hill Community Church presents Simply Smiles Sunday on Sunday, Feb. 7. Simply Smiles is a CT-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing bright futures for impoverished children and families in Oaxaca, Mexico and on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation in South Dakota. Bryan Nurnberger, founder of Simply Smiles, will be part of a panel discussion during the 10 a.m. service. Kristen Graves, CT State Troubadour, will provide additional music during the service. Kristen will lead the worship service at the First Sunday at Round Hill contemporary service at 4 p.m. A casual supper will follow the service.
Gov. Malloy declared December 25, 2015 as “Connecticut State Troubadour Kristen Graves Day” in recognition of her musicianship and activism. The New York Times has described her as “the new generation of folk.”
On the first Sunday of each month, the church offers First Sundays at Round Hill, a monthly interactive spiritual celebration for all ages and all walks of life. A casual community supper follows.
