Greenwich Swim Team Stay Perfect Heading Into Prep Meet

On Wednesday afternoon, the Greenwich High School boys swimming and diving team finished off the combined team from Stamford and Westhill high schools 106-80.

During the meet, Big Red had numerous first place finishes. In the 50-yard freestyle, Conrad Moss took home top honors for Big Red with a time of 23.63 seconds. Not to be outdone was Ryan Lynch in the 500-yard freestyle, as he took first overall with a time of 5:19.35.

In the backstroke, Matt Li was golden, touching the wall first overall with a time of 59.33. When it came to diving, no one was better than Devon Satir, who grabbed first on the day with 290.75 points.

In addition to the individual times, Greenwich also was golden in two of the three relay events. In the 200-yard medley relay, the Greenwich team of Jester, Li, Russell Winget and Moss were first with a time of 1:46.25.

The foursome of Parker Scott, Winget, Lynch and Brian O’Leary were first overall for GHS, posting a time of 1:37.95.

Greenwich will take its undefeated season Saturday and host perennial powers Fairfield Prep Saturday at 2 p.m.
