UPDATED: Sunday, Jan. 24 at 6:30 a.m.: This was certainly an eventful Saturday, as Greenwich was hit with a load of snow, coastal flooding, fierce winds and a snow emergency.

SnowTotal-1-24In total Greenwich received anywhere from 18 to 24 inches of snow in just under a 24-hour period. The Greenwich Department of Transportation has been working hard to clear roads and sidewalks. While roads are open, use extreme caution, as slippery spots are almost still a certain.

To get information on Metro North train service, check out MTA.info, as their site will updated throughout the morning.

In between breaks in shoveling or digging a car or two out, check out Greenwich Sentinel photographer John Ferris Robben, who was out and about Saturday taking spectacular photos of Greenwich blanketed in snow.

In addition, if you have a great snow photos, send it our way as they might just appear on GreenwichSentinel.com or our print newspaper on Friday.  You can email editor@greenwichsentinel.com and in the subject line type: Snow Photos. You can also tweet @GwchSentinel if your best photo by using the hashtag #GwichSnow or share a photo with us on Facebook at Facebook.com/GreenwichSentinel.
